Consequences of NSE Shifting 171 securities from T2T to Rolling settlement wef 30 June 2014

Consequences of  NSE shifting  171 securities from trade for trade segment (series: BE)  to rolling segment (series: EQ)  with effect from June 30, 2014 (Monday) at existing price band are detailed as follows 1) The shares are transfer from Trade to Trade to Rolling settlement will be available for net settlement for day      These shares can be bought at any point of day and sold at end of day and transaction balance settled in cash without actually taking delivery. Similarly these shares can be sold without actually possesing them given that they are bought back before evening settlement. 2) Volatility will increase in Rolling settlement and number of traded volume will be high which will increase liquidity of share 3) All share bought are not settled by transfer hence there may be risk of non delivery of shares too. 171 securities which shall be shifted back from Trade for Trade segment (series: BE) to rolling segment (series: EQ) with effect from June 30, 2014 (Monday) at the existing price bands. Consequences of NSE shifting  126 securities from rolling segment (series: EQ) to trade for trade segment (series: BE) with a price band of 5% with effect from June 30, 2014 (Monday) are detailed as follows

1) The shares are transfer from Rolling settlement to Trade to Trade on the grounds of surveillance measure to entail continued trust of investor in market against fraudulent fluctuation in price created in  illiquid stocks by operators.
2) The transfer of securities may not be construed as the company is fraudulent.
3) The reason for transfer may be the scrip may be illiquid resulting in the operator taking advantage to corner shares by pulling shares down or pulling up to meet their ulterior motives.
4) Once shares are shifted to T2T only genuine buy and sell shall take place and delivery shall be 100% for a given day
5) Each trade will have to be settle by paying cash by buyer against shares to be delivered by seller on the same day and netting of position by end of day shall not be possible
6) If the fundamental of shares are good the price of share may move up as there will be genuine buys at every point of price
7) For fundamental bad shares the price shall move down as there will be no genuine buys even at lower point of price.
